This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies we use on the 24sellio.eu portal, why we use them and what choices you have. The portal is operated by 24SELLIO s. r. o. (the “operator”). We act in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and with Section 109(8) of Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on electronic communications, which transposes Directive 2002/58/EC into Slovak law. This policy supplements the Privacy Policy and the General Terms and Conditions of the portal.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your settings and to recognise that you are signed in.
The same rules apply to similar technologies that store data on your device — in particular the browser’s localStorage. We therefore list these by name as well, including the period after which the application deletes them itself.
Two different things must be distinguished. The first is the storing of data on your device, or access to it. This is governed by Section 109(8) of Act No. 452/2021 Coll., under which your demonstrable consent is required. Consent is not required only where the storage is necessary for transmitting a message or strictly necessary for providing a service you have explicitly requested. Browser settings do not count as consent.
The second is the subsequent processing of personal data, which is governed by the GDPR. For signing in and securing your account this is the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); for protection against misuse it is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); and for functional, analytics or marketing technologies it is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
We activate analytics and marketing technologies only after your freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without it the relevant scripts are not loaded at all. Refusing is just as easy as giving consent, and you may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Strictly necessary — without them the portal could not run securely or we could not provide a feature you have expressly requested. This covers signing in, CSRF protection, storing your choice in the privacy settings, the list of listings added to comparison, a listing draft and a started listing promotion order. They are always created only after an active step on your part and we keep them only for the periods stated in the tables below.
Functional — they remember your recent searches and recently viewed listings, your answer to the location prompt and your dismissal of the app installation offer. This is about convenience: the portal works without them, so we do not treat them as strictly necessary and store them only after you consent. Without consent we may ask you about location or app installation again. If you do not give consent, or withdraw it later, we will not create this data on your device and will promptly delete anything already stored.
Analytics — these would measure traffic and how the portal is used so that we can improve it. For this purpose we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) — for visitors from the EU, Google does not record or store the IP address; it uses it during collection, for example to derive the approximate location, and then discards it — and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited). They load only after your consent.
Marketing — these would serve to measure and personalise advertising and content. Marketing scripts are loaded only after your consent given in the separate marketing category. These are Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited) and Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited). They serve to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to display more relevant advertising outside the portal. Once consent is given, we also send data about your activity to Meta directly from our server (Conversions API) — details are set out below. You may withdraw your consent at any time, and withdrawing it is just as easy as giving it.
Sign-in cookies are created only once you sign in. If you do not have an account, the only items stored on your device are NEXT_LOCALE and, once you make a choice, the privacy-settings entry in browser storage.
The values stored in browser storage listed above are not shared with third parties. Some of them may be used to control a portal feature or to prevent the same operation from being carried out repeatedly. Details are given with each individual item.
Items in the Functional category are stored only with your consent. The others are strictly necessary for a feature you explicitly requested and are created only after an active step on your part. Browser storage does not delete anything by itself, so the retention periods stated here are enforced by the application.
With this update we removed the storage of data that was not strictly necessary: the visit counter, the flag marking an already counted visit, and the records of already counted views of individual listings. Repeated counting of the same view is now prevented on the server, so nothing is stored on your device for that purpose. If older entries are still present in your browser, the application deletes them itself on your next visit.
Without your consent, no third-party analytics or marketing script runs on the portal’s pages — the relevant scripts are not loaded at all before consent is given, and without it we send no data about your visit even from our server. Below we set out what is loaded and to whom data is sent once consent has been given. This statement does not cover external services that the user knowingly navigates to, for example by clicking a link or continuing to a payment service.
We serve the portal's fonts from our own domain 24sellio.eu — they are not loaded from Google's servers or from any other third party, so no IP address of yours is transmitted to anyone when a page is displayed. We serve all other content, including images, from our own domain as well.
The footer contains links to our social media profiles. These are ordinary links that store nothing on your device until you click them and leave the portal.
The portal is verified in Google Search Console (Google Ireland Limited). This service only provides us with aggregate statistics on how the portal appears in Google search results (numbers of impressions and clicks and search queries in aggregate form over a 16-month window). It stores no cookies or other data on your device and does not load in your browser, so no consent is required for it.
Once you consent to analytics cookies, we load the Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity scripts, which set their own cookies and process data about site usage. For visitors from the EU, Google does not record or store the IP address.
Once you have given marketing consent, we load the Google Ads tag and the Meta Pixel. Both set their own cookies and transmit data about your visit to their providers — in particular the address of the page visited, the IP address and browser information, and for completed actions also the order value. Data may be transferred to the United States on the basis of standard contractual clauses and the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Data Privacy Framework). We configure Google Consent Mode v2 so that without your consent neither advertising identifiers nor personalisation data are sent.
Once you have given marketing consent, we send data about your activity to Meta Platforms Ireland Limited directly from our server as well, not only from the browser. The reason is that some actions are completed without an open browser — for example the payment confirmation sent to us by the payment gateway. If you are signed in, we send your contact details (e-mail, phone number, first name, surname, country code) and your internal identifier solely in the form of an irreversible SHA-256 cryptographic hash — Meta does not receive them in readable form. Regardless of whether you are signed in, we send your IP address, your browser identifier and the _fbp and _fbc cookies. We never send listing content, message content, payment data, an exact address, date of birth or gender. Every event carries the same identifier as the one from the browser, so it is not counted twice. Nothing is sent without your consent.
So that our server knows whether you have given marketing consent, we also store your choice in the mkt-consent cookie. It contains solely the value “1” or nothing — we keep no other information about you in it. If you refuse or withdraw consent, we delete it without undue delay.
You can open the settings using the button below. There you will find an overview of the categories and the current state of your choice. You may also delete cookies and browser storage data at any time directly in your browser settings. If you delete the strictly necessary cookies, you will have to sign in again.
You may withdraw your consent at any time, just as easily as you gave it — with a single click in these settings. Once withdrawn, we promptly delete the data stored on your device on the basis of that consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Depending on the legal basis and the circumstances of the processing, you have the right of access to your personal data, to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, as well as the right to object to the processing. Where processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Details are set out in the Privacy Policy.

The marketing cookie sellio-ref (24Sellio, 30 days) is stored only with marketing consent. It contains a signed partner code, click time and consent version. Withdrawing consent in privacy settings deletes it; without consent no referral is attributed. The mkt-consent cookie stores the choice for up to 6 months.
